The bad news is that we’ve learned some unhealthy habits over the past hundred years or so. Mostly, we’ve learned to sit. A lot. We sit and watch TV. We sit in the car. We sit at work – at the desk, at long meetings, in break rooms. Our society has literally engineered movement out of our lives. Think about it: moving sidewalks, escalators, elevators, cars, remotes—they’re everywhere!
Our bodies are not happy. We’re gaining too much weight. Our backs are painful. Our necks are sore. Our knees are stiff. We get short of breath, even experience some tingling and numbness. Wow. It’s time to get moving.
